Families Nationwide unfortunately are coming immense pressure and hard times, especially with the current living crisis, they may even be fleeing domestic violence. They are normal people, like all of us, who urgently need safe, warm and suitable housing for them and their families. They often have to make the hard choice and turn to their local authorities and ask for help. However, there is a crisis developing. Local authorities are in urgent need of temporary/emergency accommodation, they simply do not have enough properties. This is where DTM Housing comes in. We bridge that gap between when families approach their local authority in their time of need and ask for accommodation, to when the local authority can provide them permanent, long term housing. We work with landlords Nationwide where we in turn let their properties to local authorities, to be used for this amazing mission to ensure people have a roof over their head during their toughest time. In return, landlords receive guaranteed regular monthly rent, irrelevant if it is occupied or not.
What we do
We work with local landlords in housing those who require emergency temporary accommodation. The scheme is funded through the government with the aim to improve access to longer-term affordable and good quality housing with tenancy support in the private rented sector. The scheme, managed by DTM Housing, will offer a significant range of support services and benefits to the applicant and to the private landlord, with the aim of making the tenancy successful for both parties.
The scheme offers landlords a full property management package including repairs and maintenance with a guaranteed rental income.
We will provide ongoing housing support to the tenant, helping them gain greater independence and sustain a successful tenancy.
